Ken Biery

I'm the founder of The Funeral Service Collective, a company I started to help bring innovation and collaboration into the funeral industry. With more than 25 years of experience as a licensed funeral director and embalmer in both Kentucky and Colorado, I’ve dedicated my career to serving families with compassion and care. My roots in service go back even further—I began as a U.S. Army combat medic, which shaped the way I approach both life and death with empathy and purpose.

Over the years, I’ve managed funeral homes and cemeteries, served as Deputy Coroner in Boone County, and earned my associate degree from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, followed by a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi.

Outside of work, I’m incredibly grateful for 34 years of marriage to my amazing wife. We’ve raised four incredible kids and now get to spend quality time with our four grandchildren, who light up our lives. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me digging into new ideas and innovations, cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats and Ole Miss Rebels, enjoying a good plate of wings, or listening to a wild mix of music on Spotify.
